Len Vincenti

Len Vincenti first studied art while at the University of Florida. After serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy, he received a law degree and had a private solo practice in Clearwater for 40 years. While visiting the Pacific Northwest he witnessed a glass blowing demonstration in Seattle. He was hooked. He built a fully equipped glass hot shop in a studio at his home in Ozona and set out to master this skill. He attended Dale Chihuly’s Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, WA three times as well as a number of other schools including Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina.His medium of choice was glass sand-casting out of which he crafted award winning multi-media sculpture using unusual found objectsAfter retiring from his law practice in 2012, he shifted his interest into Pastel Painting.  In 2015 he and his wife, Laura, were selected to be artists in residence at Stirling Studios and Galley in Dunedin, where he continues to produce a large body of work both abstract and representational.
